More scores

A few months ago I noted the return of an essential internet source for public domain musical scores, the IMSLP. Google Books is another place to check out historical scores, including this 1905 edition of an infrequently performed orchestral work by Max Reger. [via Alex Ros]

New scores are hitting the web, too. Increasing numbers of composers are posting their music in pdf format – which I can confirm from personal experience is of great benefit to programmers – and now a major publisher has made a noteworthy new score by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt available on the web before its premiere.
