Even though Knopper concerns himself primarily with mainstream popular music there is much of relevance in the discussion for performers and listeners of all genres. My favorite exchange [31:20] – Q: How are musicians supposed to make a living now? … What model to you see for artists making a living playing their music? A: The short answer is concerts.
