Still looking for a reason to start using Twitter?
The operatically-inclined among you now have a new motivation – the #operaplot hashtag and contest dreamed up by Marcia Adair, aka @missmussel, of The Omniscient Mussel. Originally spread virally on Twitter in March #operaplot is back again today through Sunday, this time with a proper judge, prizes and plenty of hype from tweeting music folks like myself.
All you have to do is summarize a favorite opera plot as cheekily as possible in 130 characters or less [140 is the limit for tweeting, and the hashtag #operaplot must be included in the text]. More information here. My own entries will show up in my Twitter feed on my blog’s main page or @jasonweinberger.
