The blog of conductor Jason Weinberger

Here are a few shots of me at work, manipulated and posted using the fabulous new iPhone-based image service Instagram.

I’ve been addicted since the moment I installed the free app, and agree with designer Cameron Moll about its merits:

Instagram has captured the same attention Flickr once captured, precisely because it addresses the now, the today, the relevant. And it does so in ways that are emotional, spontaneous, lightweight, and unique.

The photos in this post were originally taken with DSLRs by O’Neil Arnold and Noah Henscheid and edited by me using the app, but the effects seem even more vivid when applied to natively-shot images.

Throughout the orchestra season I’ll be sharing my own Instagrammed views of the rehearsal and concert process; if you use an iPhone join up and follow me [wnbrgr] on Instagram itself to see all of my images.
